The White House announced that it will establish the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which will seek to develop executive actions and legislation to reduce gun violence. The new office is meant to build on other actions taken by the Biden-Harris Administration like the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and help end the gun violence epidemic in America. More Americans died of gun-related injuries in 2021 than in any other year on record – including a record number of both gun murders and gun suicides.
