Former Vice President Joe Biden has secured the presidency and is expected to be sworn in on January 20th. The future of Biden’s health care agenda now depends on two run-off races in Georgia that will determine which party controls the Senate and ultimately what policies move forward. If Democrats win the Senate, this would facilitate passing policies to bolster or reconstruct the Affordable Care Act (ACA); Republican control would make this and the passage of a public option more difficult.
