AdventHealth partnered with University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC) to strengthen Rehab to Restore Hope, a housing program serving veterans in Tampa, Florida. Together, they support two dedicated veteran apartment units in the University Area and connect residents with health and wellness services across two ZIP codes (33612 and 33613). The initiative aims to increase housing stability for veterans who have experienced homelessness. In addition, AdventHealth supports UACDC’s Steps for Success program, which offers targeted case management to help individuals achieve economic self-sufficiency through education, employment and job skills training, supporting nearly 200 people in gaining employment and serving about 175 families. Through this partnership, two housing units were restored to serve veterans and their families, with plans to fund two additional units during 2026.

Why We Did It

Veterans in Tampa continue to face barriers to stable housing, impacting both physical and mental health. In the 33612 and 33613 ZIP codes, limited access to affordable housing and supportive services creates ongoing challenges for long-term stability. AdventHealth and UACDC launched this partnership to address these gaps by connecting veterans to housing and healthcare support. By investing in stable housing and pathways to self-sufficiency, the program helps reduce homelessness and improve long-term health outcomes for veterans and their families.
