AdventHealth’s Waterman Community Primary Health Clinic provides health care services to uninsured and underserved populations in North Lake County, Florida. Through the support of over 67 clinical volunteers, the local community, and partnerships, the clinic was able to fundraise over $50,000. This funding has allowed the clinic to provide health education, chronic disease management and preventive services to over 3,000 patients each year, ensuring North Lake County receives the care it deserves.

Why We Did It

According to United for ALICE, nearly 36% of all households in North Lake County live at or below the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) threshold – struggling to afford basic living expenses. Residents who do seek care often face delays or inadequate services. AdventHealth established the Waterman Community Primary Health clinic to address these issues and ensure that the community has access to quality care, regardless of their financial status.
