AdventHealth’s partnership with Opera Orlando highlights a shared belief that the arts can play an important role in health, healing and community wellbeing. Now in its second year, the collaboration coincides with Opera Orlando’s 10th anniversary season. Recently, AdventHealth team member Lauren Perrotta performed in Opera Orlando’s production of Treemonisha, a rarely performed opera by Scott Joplin. As the official health provider of Opera Orlando, AdventHealth provides specialized care for performing artists through its Performance Health Program and helps expand access to the arts across Central Florida. The AdventHealth Orchestra, founded in 2020, includes more than 70 team members from across the organization, including physicians, executives, nurses and support staff.

Why We Did It

AdventHealth recognizes that well-being extends beyond traditional medical care. Through its partnership with Opera Orlando, the organization is investing in programs that support emotional health, community connection and creative expression for both performers and the broader community. The collaboration also provides performing artists with specialized health resources, including injury prevention, acute care services and vocal health education. By supporting the arts while creating opportunities for team member engagement, AdventHealth continues to demonstrate how creativity and well-being can work hand in hand.

Community Voice

“The arts inspire, they connect, they heal. And having a partner like AdventHealth — that not only understands this but lives it — has been transformative for our organization and our audiences.”
