Adventist Health Simi Valley partners with local community colleges, vocational programs, adult schools and California State University campuses to create healthcare pathways for allied health professionals. Through hands-on training and clinical experience, students are prepared to step into allied health roles, which support physicians and nurses across diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive services. Many programs can be completed in under two years, allowing students to quickly meet local healthcare needs. In 2024, 120 program students provided over 5,300 hours of service and care to patients. Adventist Health Simi Valley is also a sponsor of Moorpark College scholarships, supporting students pursuing careers as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and in Nursing, Radiology and Biotechnology.

Why We Did It

The U.S. faces a healthcare workforce shortage, especially in rural and underserved areas. Shortages in allied health professionals delay care, reduce access and affect quality. By investing in allied health education, Adventist Health Simi Valley builds an employment pipeline and supports economic mobility while preparing healthcare professionals to meet local needs.

Community Voice

“It’s empowering to be part of an organization that invests in the growth of its team members. The scholarship has lightened the financial load and allowed me to focus on developing both academically and professionally.”
