The continuation of steep cuts to 340B drug payments along with rules implementing President Trump’s “Price and Quality Transparency” Executive Order have captured industry interest in this year’s Outpatient Prospective Payment System proposed rule. If finalized, the rule would require hospitals to publish negotiated rates with insurers. The rule also addresses other key issues, such as changes to the Inpatient Only List and new safety measures for the Outpatient Quality Reporting Program.
