A Louisiana district court upheld a state law prohibiting drug companies from denying Louisiana hospitals their 340B discounts for drugs dispensed at community pharmacies. The case was one of many similar lawsuits across other states. In this case, the court dismissed a series of legal claims brought by AstraZeneca, AbbVie, Inc. and PhRMA including preemption, vagueness, Contract Clause and Takings Clause claims.
