After these last few weeks, the Republican party’s presidential primaries might be over before they even really got started. Following former-President Donald Trump’s win in the Iowa Caucus, the field of candidates narrowed to just the former president and Nikki Haley. This week was deemed as being Haley’s best chance of closing the gap and scoring a win during the Tuesday night New Hampshire Primary. While the race was closer than many polls expected, Donald Trump ultimately won the night. The Republican National Committee and many former presidential hopefuls including Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Tim Scott and Vivek Ramaswamy have thrown their support behind Trump. As we look ahead to Nevada and South Carolina primaries, it seems that the Republican party is already shifting gears to focus on the big showdown in November — with former President Trump as first choice.
