On December 21, 2020, Congress passed the “Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021,” which includes funds to address the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to critical health care provisions impacting health providers. Many of the legislation’s provisions will require the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to issue rules prior to implementation and more details will be finalized through those rules. This document includes those health care provisions unrelated to COVID-19 that will impact health care systems. A link to legislative text is also available.
