CMS recently released the first batch of Prospective Payment Systems (PPS) proposed rules for FY 2025.

• Hospice Payment Rate: Proposes a 2.6% payment update, a new collection instrument for the Quality Reporting Program (QRP), and Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) elements within the program.
• Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities (IPF PPS): Proposes a 2.7% payment update and to update the wage index using the Core‑Based Statistical Area (CBSA) Labor Market Areas defined in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
• Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF PPS): Proposes a 2.8% payment update, a wage index update similar to the IPF PPS and four new SDOH patient assessment data elements within the QRP.
