Last week, Senator Bill Cassidy released a white paper that includes multiple proposals to reduce health care costs. This includes increasing price transparency, eliminating the employer mandate and commissioning a study on social determinants of health. It is unlikely for any of these policies to pass due to Republicans’ lack of appetite for addressing health care reforms before an election.
