Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Defining and Delimiting the Exemptions for Executive, Administrative, Professional, Outside Sales, and Computer Employees.

The Department of Labor (DOL) is proposing changes to the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) to make workers eligible for overtime pay who were previously considered “exempt.” Specifically, the proposal would raise the salary threshold required to classify an employee as exempt from $684 per week to $1,059 per week. Comments on the NPRM are due on November 7th.
