The U.S Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia has upheld the legality of the Trump Administration’s much-debated Hospital Price Transparency Rule. Under the rule, hospitals must make public their payer-specific negotiated rates or face financial penalties. The American Hospital Association (AHA) challenged the rule in October, arguing that it violated the First Amendment and the Administrative Procedures Act. Judge Tatel disagreed; the rule became effective January 1^st.
