AdventHealth Manchester partnered with Mammo Results to host a two-day walk-in screening mammogram event focused on increasing access to preventive breast cancer screenings within the community. Over the course of the two-day event, 29 individuals participated in screenings designed to provide fast and convenient preventive care. Each appointment took about 30 minutes, making it easy to fit early detection into busy schedules. By offering walk-in appointments for individuals 40 and older, the event helped remove barriers to screening while encouraging proactive health care. Guests were also welcomed with cookies and lemonade provided by the Dietary Team, creating a warm and supportive environment for the attendees.

Why We Did It

AdventHealth Manchester hosted the walk-in screening mammogram event to help remove barriers to preventive care and encourage community members to prioritize their long-term health. Early detection remains one of the most important tools in the fight against breast cancer, yet many individuals delay screenings due to scheduling changes, limited access or uncertainty about the process. Through its partnership with Mammo Results, AdventHealth Manchester aimed to create a convenient and approachable experience that empowered individuals to take proactive steps toward their health.
