AdventHealth opened a new emergency room in Poinciana, Florida, in October 2025 to improve access to emergency care for residents. The 15,000 square-foot facility provides 24/7 emergency services, including advanced diagnostic imaging, respiratory therapy, and on-site laboratory and pharmacy services. The emergency room includes 16 private patient rooms, allowing the facility to deliver timely, high-quality care to a growing and underserved population.

Why We Did It
Poinciana is a rapidly growing, semi-rural community in Florida with limited access to local emergency care options. Prior to the opening of this facility, many residents were required to travel outside the area to receive hospital-based emergency services. To meet increasing demand and reduce travel time for patients, AdventHealth opened a new emergency room in Poinciana, which also contributed to the local economy by creating 65 new jobs within the community.
