  • Texas, North Carolina and Arkansas held their primaries on Tuesday.  
  • Texas’ Republican Senator Jim Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton are headed to a runoff in May for the GOP nomination to the U.S. Senate.  
  • State Rep. James Talarico, a Presbyterian seminarian and former teacher, won against two-term Congressperson Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. 
  • Texas Governor Greg Abbot won for the fourth time the GOP nomination for governor.  
  • Former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper clinched the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination in North Carolina.
