Adventist HealthCare and the Montgomery College Foundation have partnered to offer hands-on opportunities for nursing students in the community over the next eight years. The collaboration centers on Adventist HealthCare’s commitment to providing mentoring, guest lecturing, internships, shadowing programs, and scholarships for students seeking an associate of science degree in nursing and other health sciences through Montgomery College. Since the partnership began in Fall 2023, Adventist HealthCare’s $102,781 investment has helped 75 students near its hospitals to complete their education and training in healthcare fields.

Why We Did It

Adventist HealthCare initiated the partnership in response to the shortage of qualified nurses entering or remaining in the Maryland workforce. The program aims to improve patient outcomes and increase the number of qualified nurses in the community by providing expanded educational pathways.
