Adventist Health operates a network of 39 rural health clinics and 60 clinical services across its ambulatory settings. The clinics provide a wide range of care, including primary care, specialty services, behavioral health and dental care, with extended hours to meet community needs. Near schools and parks, these clinics focus on preventive care and chronic disease management, helping residents monitor their health and avoid hospitalizations.
Why we did it
Adventist Health initiated this project to address healthcare disparities in Hanford’s rural and underserved communities. The region faced challenges in providing sufficient primary care, specialty services, and hospital facilities for its population. Adventist Health aimed to create a sustainable model that strengthens healthcare access and improves overall health outcomes by integrating a clinic network into its community health strategy.
