Project IMPACT, a collaboration between Adventist Health Portland and Oregon Health & Science University, is designed to address the urgent issue of opioid and fentanyl addiction among inpatients. This innovative program not only treats the immediate medical needs of patients with substance use disorders but also provides long-term support by connecting them with addiction treatment resources after they leave the hospital. The program exemplifies Adventist Health’s commitment to whole-person care, focusing on the underlying causes of addiction and supporting patients on their journey to recovery.

Why We Did It

Project IMPACT was launched to address the growing opioid and fentanyl crisis, which has devastated communities and overwhelmed healthcare systems. By providing comprehensive support to individuals struggling with addiction, the program aims to reduce hospital readmissions, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen community health.
