The Trump Administration has expanded TrumpRx, its online prescription drug platform, by adding more than 600 generic medications. The expansion aims to make lower-cost medicines more accessible and broaden the platform beyond its original focus on brand-name drugs.

Launched earlier in 2026, TrumpRx initially partnered with pharmaceutical companies to offer discounted medications directly to consumers. Critics argued that the service lacked affordable generic options, limiting its impact for many patients. The latest update addresses those concerns by including a much wider range of commonly used generic prescriptions.

The platform also now offers price-comparison tools and home delivery services, helping users compare local pharmacy costs and order medications online. The program, however, faces steep competition from pharmacy discount programs and services like GoodRx and Cost Plus Drugs which offer greater discounts for most drugs.
